Welcome to Red Velvet Studios

Red Velvet Studios Logo
Hello this website is for my new start up independent game studio called Red Velvet Studios. My dream is to make great fun games that I and people will ultimately love to play and it has been my dream to make games that I'm passionate about making, so after some soul searching I've realized that indie games are for me it gives me the ability to not only be my own boss but to work on and create games that I love and that I hope others will love as well.

Now I know that being successful in the indie game world is gonna take hard work, smarts, dedication, and luck but I'm willing and ready to do all of those things. Now I will be starting development on my own game called The Rise of Finn. The Rise of Finn is an action adventure game that will take place in a fantasy medieval setting. With strong combat, some puzzle solving and a great story and characters. I'm hoping to create an amazingly fun game and an amazing world inspired by some of my favorite games of this genre.

I don't know how long it will take me to complete this project but for now I'm giving myself 1 year and 2 months to have it complete. This may change but for now this is the goal to reach. Now I will be making this game with the following tools: Unity 3D and Blender 3D (hoping to get FL Studio for music). I am currently starting to learn how to use this software but setting this deadline will force me to learn it quickly.

Another thing to note is that I will be doing all of this on my own, yes that means all the art, models, programming, game design, level design, sound design, and soundtrack will all be done by me. Yeah I know sounds hard but I want to learn how to do all of these other things and if that's what it takes to be an indie developer with no funding then so be it.

I want to thank anyone in advance for supporting me I will post updates on the business side of here and the occasional in game asset pic, but for any frequent update to the games progress all of that will be done on The Rise of Finn blog (which I have now linked twice).

Thank you for the support, and if anyone would like to offer any help or suggestions at all (constructive ones please) then feel free to comment or email me. I would definitely welcome it.
